Paper bags are being used less than before for packaging. The company starts thinking of new ways to move forward and begins heavily investing in plastic. At its peak, Peltolan Pussi Oy. has seven plastic bag machines. Print quality is developed by buying 6-colour flexographic printing machines from Italy and Spain.
In 1985, Liisa Peltola becomes CEO of the company, and she has the idea to promote comprehensive quality that includes well-educated employees, a quality product, emphasis on customer service and modern machinery. The company begins building its quality management system, and the factory is expanded once again.
